Rich Holschuh founded Concrete Detail, in southern Vermont, in 2005 as a means of combining his 20 years of experience in construction and carpentry with his new found passion for concrete. Looking for a creative outlet that would use his experiences and skills to new advantage, he found the limitless possibilities of the concrete medium to be a perfect and satisfying match. Early in his exploration, Rich discovered the pioneering work of Buddy Rhodes and the comprehensive line of products he had developed and put them to good use. He continues to research, innovate, and pursue excellence in his studio and production facilities, looking forward to new opportunities and challenges.

Rich enjoys the design process, working closely with clients to craft an inspired response to their creative visions and practical needs, harmonizing with their immediate environment and delivering lasting purpose and beauty. He likes to call it “Art-formed”. Every commission is a fresh expression of an idea made into concrete reality. Concrete Detail creates custom kitchen and bath countertops, sinks, fireplace and bath surrounds, decorative floors and walls, and a wide variety of other architectural elements for homes and businesses. The natural appeal and warmth of character of artisan concrete is reflective of the attention, skill, and care invested in the creation of every piece.
