Originally from Rockford OH, Joe is a 3rd generation custom builder/remodeler with 35 years in his own business, (Faust Contracting Co). Joe relocated his family and business to the Jersey Shore in 1985, with office & shop in Long Branch. FC2 provides custom designs and workmanship to area homes, churches, restaurants, and just about anything that needs to be built, expanded or remodeled.

Along with the standard uses of concrete in his business, Joe had taken on special castings of monolithic stairs and retaining walls. In the 80's he started reading about concrete being used to fabricate countertops and other non-traditional items. His interest grew and he also tried some experiments with left over concrete while building and remodeling homes. Still, he was not sure about offering it to clients for their homes.

In 2008, Joe saw an opportunity to attend training at Buddy's shop and it all took off from there. Immediately upon returning to NJ, Joe cast his first 3 piece top for a local restaurant. The use of Buddy's mix, combined with the BR training gave FC2 an exciting new dimension and it has been well received ever since.

Joe has also attended Jeff Girard's Concrete Countertop Institute in Raleigh NC to further his understanding in the sciences and physical properties of concrete. The support from these two companies has played a vital role in keeping FC2 on the right track of providing a quality product. Buddy's mix has been the main ingredient for all of FC2's projects as it has proven to be problem free.
