ICT Streaking Repair Protocol

I recently sealed my counter with your ICT reactive sealing system (PS1, PS1-LS or CH Prep + FS Seals) and I am seeing streaks. Why is the happening and what should I do?

Streaking or application marks do occur with the ICT Sealer products. The most common reason is the sealer has been over applied. The remedy is to remove the excess sealer and continue the application process. Often Spinflex pads are necessary, due to how hard the sealer becomes on the surface. Simply start with a 200 or 400 grit pad on an angle grinder type polisher and process until the streaks are removed. The sealer is actually a treatment and not a coating, so maintaining a micro thin value is sometimes difficult. Warming the concrete (~ 95°F) helps by allowing the sealer to flash off/dry faster and by expanding the micro porosity while providing better penetration of the sealer. Smaller circular wiping motions also help benefit application techniques, as opposed to large sweeping wipes that may leave a trail of slightly thicker material, producing an application line.
